An Anniversary + Baby Moon Weekend in Boston

Greg and I recently took a weekend to explore the wonderful, historic-packed Boston, MA! Not only was it to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary but also a “Baby Moon” as we think it may be the last little get away with just the two of us before the baby comes later this year.

We were debating between New York and Boston, but decided to go with Boston. Not only was it a little bit cheaper, but Greg played a season in Boston and we thought it would be cool to relive some of his memories there together.

We have never been very good trip planners, but for a quick weekend trip like this (late Fri- early Mon), we both did a little bit of research so that we had an idea of what our days would look like.

Here is what we gathered –

Must Do’s / See’s to Consider on our list:

Museum of Fine Arts  / Isabella Stewart Garden Museum
Feneuil Hall Market
Boston Commons / State House
Freedom Trail
Historic Tour of some sort

Must Visit Areas on our list:

Back Bay
South End
North End
Newbury Street

Boston has SO many different little areas, and they are all so different! It’s totally worth making it a goal to visit them all. I loved the area where the famous Mike’s Cannoli’s is, the North End. It feels like you are in another country!
